techniques essay !!!

Photography is an art form used for both business and pleasure. This form of art is enjoyed by many to capture imagery in different forms such as photographing children- composition, getting horizontal, and framing your shots. When working with babies they are particularly difficult to photograph because they are so immobile. If your using a point and shoot have at least a 3x make sure you use it. Taking pictures with a wide angle focal length can be particularly effective when getting in close to children. With older children the best time to photograph them is when they are doing something that they enjoy. The simplest way to get your horizontal simply line up with the top or bottom of your view finger. Cameras with markers can often be used to help line up your horizons mid frame. Some cameras have a ‘rules of thirds’ mode where they overlay a grid in your LCD/viewfinder to show you where to place your point of interest. If you’re struggling with getting horizons straight consider buying a small spirit level. When framing pictures it gives the image a sense of depth and layers. Frames for photographs come in all shapes and sizes and can include shooting through windows overhanging branches, using tunnels, arches or doorways-even people your frame doesn’t need to go completely around the edges of your image. Consider whether you want your frame to be in focus or not. Photographers are able to add their personal touch to their photographer, making them unique or special to not only the photographer, but to others who admire the images as well. That’s why all three of those techniques work so well. By: Ta’Kerra Purnell
